Construction for project to begin in early September.

The Worcester Bravehearts have announced today, renovation plans at Fitton Field to build a water slide connecting the I-290 Highway to a new swimming pool, which will be located just beyond the fence in left field.
This project, expected to be completed for the summer of 2026, will be a first-of-it's-kind fan experience. Drivers on I-290 will be able to pull over on the side of the highway and take a quick swim while enjoying a Bravehearts game before going on with the rest of their day.
While the Bravehearts are excited to start this new project, they are aware of the delays it can cause the city.
"We understand the amount of cars on the side of the road could cause delays," said Bravehearts GM Dave Peterson. "The good news is, if fans are upset due to increased traffic, they could always cool off by taking a quick swim."
The Bravehearts will use water from the Blackstone Canal for the pool, which will be located just beyond the left field fence.
No ticket purchase is needed for this water slide, as this is a completely fabricated and made up story. If you haven't figured it out yet (let's be honest, you should have known a while ago), this is an April Fool's joke.
Roll 'Hearts.
